May 12, 2024. “Nurturing Essentials in the Lifespan.”  Alison Longstaff Moore with Worship Artist Jessica Bayne.   Today we explore ‘mother-energy’ through attachment theory.  How might we become ‘mothers’ to each other?    Alison is a Swedenborgian-trained minister ordained in 2009. She is a self-declared proto-Unitarian Universalist and has supply preached several times for UU congregations. Out of active ministry since 2015, Alison has been performing weddings, supply preaching, and operating her pastoral "Moore Magic Organizing" company with great satisfaction.

Rodela.  Today’s reflection on writing is inspired by Poet Joseph Massey’s “Prescription”: “To think through each word’s particular weather./To stand just far enough outside of the page.”  What’s your relationship to words?  Do you have a favourite?   

May 26, 2024.  “Tap Root, Flower Petal, Seed Clock.”  Rev. Jess.  Poet, artist, activist adrienne maree brown writes:  “A mushroom IS a mushroom, a dandelion IS a dandelion…what are we as humans, what is our function? Are we Love? If so, we can’t operate like hate and fear, because our fundamental state is what will proliferate mushroom or dandelion style. To carry the metaphor too far, there is work above ground and work below ground, and I don’t know that we understand all the potential for the human organism just yet.”
